Peguera

This was one of the first towns in the area to pioneer hotel infrastructures. Its centre consists of a wide boulevard along which numerous shops restaurants and cafés are distributed, making it the perfect spot for a leisurely stroll. Peguera, located on the foothills of the northern mountain range, is an excellent spot for hill walking and coming into closer contact with nature. Cala Fornells can be found on its outskirts, a picturesque place so typical of Mediterranean villages, with its small buildings. It also boasts some prestigious restaurants. As for rural architecture, Peguera has many stately houses which remind us of the landscape of past times. The possessió in Peguera, which originally belonged to the Bishop of Barcelona, is just one such example. The cloisters is especially beautiful, with its magnificent cobbled paving. Another example of stately houses is la Torà, which gives its name to a beach in the town.
